Hi

Hello, I am new to the site. I just recently purchased an 03 TL Type-S. I joined the community to learn more about whats available for my car. My Accord got destroyed by a truck and my 240 has a blown engine, so this will be my new love.

welcome- !!!
first thing to do is register with acura- some 03s got a recall on the timing belt pulley that you can add replace water pump to the job for a few hundred- thats the biggest part of labor on the 105 service- if the recall applies to you- its a score!

1-800-382-2238 x5 thats acura customer care- they need the address of current owner in case of future recalls
also register on here- different system -http://owners.acura.com/registration/registerstepone.aspx
Need the cars VIN for both of those

Ask the 800# if there are any open recalls, and extended warranty on seatbelts or other parts
Ask if you part of the `trans extended warranty` - ask for cars `date in service`- thats when all warranty started

It looks good!, now take a read thru the Off Topic link at top of pages- Wash and Wax section- Many great tips that will make any car look better than new

here is the free owner book link- click on your year then model
https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/...01_OMANUAL.asp

Very helpful to know how the traction and abs systems work,
the TL is a trick car with some special operating tips- things like seat heat limitations, proper use of VTEC,,,,
Its need for 91 or higher octane etc etc

If you have nav and need the newest disc- remove from drive unit and check version number- then check the website for changes since then
Its good to update every few years

Welcome, nice car. By the way you may have to sell your 240 to get cash for modding the TL.

ABP is your color.

Examples:

ABP = Absis (sp?) Blue Pearl
WDP = White Diamond Pearl
NBP = Nighthawk Black Pearl
AM = Anthracite Metallic

Now i see =)

Lots of nice rides in that section. My first mod to do will be the oem lip. I think it really completes the look.

Then I need to see if an intake will void the extended warranty I purchased...

I doubt the intake will void the warranty.

Check out the DIY section for mods that you can do on your own without having to spend a ton of money.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Many of those aftermarket extended warranties use any little modification to avoid paying a claim. OP, read your warranty policy carefully.

=) will triple check warranty today. The engine sounds soooooo good, but I know that an intake will really allow me to hear her.
