WOULD THIS PRICE INTEREST ANYONE. THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW ME, KNOW THAT I DON'T BS ABOUT POWER FIGURES. I WILL BE RELEASING A PRODUCT THAT BOLTS ON IN MINUTES, PRODUCES THE POWER STATED, AND MAINTAINS THE QUALITY OF THE VEHICLE. THE POWER PRODUCED IS ACROSS THE ENTIRE REV RANGE AND AVERAGES +10HP WITH A PEAK VS PEAK GAIN OF +15HP OVER STOCK.
THIS PRODUCT WILL OFFICIALLY LAUNCH AT THE SEMA SHOW OVER HALOWEEN AND THE INITIAL PARTS PRODUCTION FOR RELEASE HAS BEGUN. THIS POSTING IS TO GUAGE INTEREST. I DON'T KNOW OF ANY OTHER PRODUCT THAT OFFERS THIS BANG FOR THE BUCK...YOU TELL ME.
And...
Yes, it will work with other mods (H/I/E).
Yes, a dyno will be posted by Ron tonite ( I think)
Yes, this gain was based on a bone STOCK 02 TL-S with only 179 miles on the clock.
Yes, a J30 variant (slightly more $$$) is due to dyno by 10/1/01...fingers crossed.
Yes, a J32A1 variant is due to dyno next week.
No, its not bull****.
Yes, I did not build AEM's motor (H22) but my alcohol burning B18 made more power but could only push a 300lb heavier car into the low 9's (power to weight???)
No, this is not bull ****
No, we have not yet tested the gains on any modified cars.
I didn't delete the post. I have no idea what happened. Although I did consider locking it because it was about a product for the car. However, I didn't do anything to your post because I don't think he was acutally offering the product for sale yet, he was just giving out information. Don't get pissed at me.
It's cool man.....just don't let it happen again J/K.

Update from RAdams:
You guys may not be in love with the way Doug initially introduced this product, but rest assured it's real and it works.
Who am I and how do I know?
I drive a TL-S so I don't frequent this board, but I've known Doug for some time now. Just today I saw and touched the prototype of the product he's talking about. It's not a final production piece, but it's of such quality that I wouldn't hesitate to bolt in onto my car as is. I also have, in my posession, the dyno graphs hot off the presses for this mod. I'll be scanning them first thing in the morning.
I took a vow of silence as Rick Case (the man and the corporation) wants this item unveiled at SEMA. I honestly don't see why you people have a problem with that. SEVERAL other manufacturer's choose to unveil their products for the first time there -- it's an industry norm. I also don't understand why people are drawing comparisons to the Xephyr fiasco when Doug has never done anything to even put him or Rick Case in the same PLANET with Xephyr. Doug is the "father" of the 3.5L package -- the gains it afforded were EXACTLY what he said they'd be -- all he did was report what the dyno said -- no trickery. I went to the track with him and the car. I scanned and posted links to the timeslips ( http://ron.b16a.com/3.5L_timeslips/ ).
Bottom line: This product is real. I saw it with my own eyes and touched it with my own hands. Truth be told, the gains from this item he's claiming are slightly on the conservative side compared to what the dyno sheet says. Again, you'll see that tomorrow.
In the mean time, know that Doug wouldn't make claims that his product doesn't stand up to, so let's stop with the stupid generalizations.
And NO it's not a sticker

Just read the whole thread on Acura-CL.com. It definitely peaked my interest, but I definitely need more info before I commit to anything. Some mods such as a CAI wont make it to my engine bay, due to noise penalties. I'll need more info on this before I commit. If I have no issues with it once the info is releases, hed have my money in the blink of an eye. I'll stay tuned for more info.
P.S. When exactly is SEMA??

Glad you guys are following the thread over at -cl.com.
I've known Doug a while now.. yadda yadda yadda... he devised the 3.5L upgrade and he makes top notch stuff. I'll post the dyno scans here tomorrow morning as well.
All I can say is that you guys are gonna want this!
(PS -- I'm glad to see that my TL brethren are SEVERAL times more mature about this than the majority of the people that posted to the thread at -cl.com)

Honestly, I'd love to spill the beans as I'm pretty excited about getting my hands on one of these myself.
Doug is a good friend and I just wouldn't betray his trust... especially since he's an ambassador of sorts for Rick Case Acura where he works... so I'd be selling a lot of people out.
With that being said, it's not cams. It's a total bolt-on unit.
Look at it this way: You guys have known about the Comptech supercharger for quite some time and it's still a long way away from being released... you won't be held is suspense that long on this!

I'm excited as hell about it too. I really wish I had a scanner at home so I could post the dyno graphs. At least then you could see that his numbers aren't BS.
First thing tomorrow I will post a scan of the graph I PROMISE.

You've got me; piqued, not peaked. To quote a friend, it must have been a "brain fart."
I know what SEMA is, I just wanted to know when it was being held which has already been answered(Oct. 30-Nov 2, 2001)
Its a bit of a wait, but it gives them more time for testing and to work out any bugs they may have.
