i have 2001 tl and i need some tips i want to do a cold air intake but here in florida rains too much so i dont know if that matters, like the filter getting wet im getting a aem cold air intake and also my car does not bring a spoiler does anybodie know if the type s spoiler will fit

easy on the newbie. there is no type s spoiler. the spoiler seen on the type-s is the OEM for both the tl-p and tl-s. unless you are talking about the aspec spoiler which came with 2 lights on top and only came with the tl's from canada. that will fit also. good luck finding one though. as for the cai, you can get one just don't go really fast though standing water. or if there is a huge puddle do a 3 pt turn and find another route. you can get the bypass valve but it will defeat the purpose of getting the cai in the first place (correct me if i am wrong) since it lessens the gains you would get from the cai without it. if you are worried about getting the cai filter wet and getting water in your engine spring the extra bucks and get the comptech ice box. not as loud but it won't take in water and you get the same gains,if not better. hope this helps and congrats on your pimp ass ride.

hey guys thanks for ur help i guess im going for the AEM intake with the bypass i just think the ice box its not going to be loud enough or i wont gain that much horsepower,any tips on what type of lowering coils i should go with ?

dont get the bypass...you really dont need it at all and it will rob any power you would get with the CAI. The only problem you could have is if you submerged the filter under water (drive though deep ass water that you shouldnt in the first place). driving in the rain wont hurt anything either. I have drove through some big time rain with my intake, and everything is fine - I checked the filter (because I had to pull over at a gas station because I couldnt even see) and the very bottom had a few drops on it.
