Help Vsa Light On With Bass

Hey has anybody had the problem, that when HEAVY BASS hits the VSA Light comes on and only resets when you turn the car off and on ?

Now that's some HEAVY bass!

When the air pressure from your woofer is "PUSHING" you around a corner and causes the VSA light to come on to correct for it... you've got some sound system!

Take it to the track, then point the woofers out the back and "light the afterburner" with some sinewave bass notes... I bet you'll decrease your 1/4 mile times! LOL

Don't take it to the dealer. JUst think what are you going to tell them. My stereo system is f#3king up the car? They will just sit their and laugh or they'll charge you an arm and a leg for doing a checkup.

Are you running a crazy audio system that could be drawing more power than your car can provide? Driving heavy bass would probably require more power consumption. Maybe it is drawing too much power and the VSA light is coming on because the alternator isn't sufficient??

Just a guess.......

mine does it too.. scared me to death the first time it happened.. usually if i turn it about 1/2 way up, i have a 2 farad cap, optima yellow top, 2x12's, and a kenwood 1800watt monoblock. my classic mini however, has just a yellowtop, jl 1000/1 amp 1x10" L7kicker solobaric, 45 amp alternator , and the bass will straight shut the car off while driving.... awesome... (and just to bragg it put down 133.4db in a SPL drag....didnt win but its just a 10.)

maybe the heavy bass is confusing the accelerometers that the vsa relies on?
