Had my tansmission recently rebuilt 800 miles and sine the solenoid code has been thrown repeatedly, on third solenoid and the code (causes car to go into limp mode) no longer resets after turning the car off then on (how I got it out of limp mode) shop says no mechanical issues, nothing feels wrong aside limp mode, any ideas?? It's getting annoying, electrical? Computer issue?

 

What code was it? There are many switches/solenoids on the trans. What exactly is the third one youre talking about?

 

Try cleaning or replace the shift solenoids, screen and pressure switches see if that resolves your issue.

 

I wish i knew the code but its the third new solEnoid They put in, if im not mistaken its on top the trans? Not sure it that clearifies which one is the problem

 

might be the third gear pressure switch solenoid. i have the same issue.

Sounds like third clutch pressure switch.

Basic troubleshooting may help. Does that shop work on many TL's? Often times things get left loose.

Does D5 flash? Any other indication on the dash?

 

Yeah they have done tl's Before the owners son car is one actually that he rebuilt but yeah d5 flashes vsa and! All light up, i use to be able to turn the car off then it would shift normal with cel but now i turn it off and back on all d5 vsa ! Are still up still in limp mode, but thanks for responses So replacing third clutch pressure switch or solenoid is probable cause?

 

Depends on if the switch is bad. I would check the wiring.

 

the shop needs to look into the wiring and see if they did any damage to it or if a connector isnt in all the way.
