Unhappy Help - temp/odometer/Sport Shift displays dim!

I'm having some probs with the display for the outside temp and odometer being too dim or not even lighting up. It gets power, but not enough to stay fully lit. The same is happening with the indicator for the Sport Shift, so I'm guessing that the two are connected. My mechanic thought it was a problem with a rheostat, but he checked and it was fine, so he suggested it was a bad ground. A service tech at a dealership suggested replacing the whole instrument panel ($$$). One thread on this topic suggested a bad battery - my battery checks out fine. Another thread suggested bad bulbs - I took apart the dash and the bulbs are fine. Another thread suggested that the power inverter might be bad - haven't checked that yet (mainly because I don't know where the inverter is located.) I'm hoping that my fellow TL'ers have some ideas and suggestions. Thanks in advance!

You need the voltage regulator in the cluster.
I have done two of them.
You can buy it seperate but have to take the cluster out and seperate the back and front and pull the circuit board out to replace.
Good luck.

Thanks for the info, lbbrando. What is the part # for the voltage regulator? Thanks again!
