Help- surface rust near shock towers
I took it to my Acura dealer and they did nothing but note it on my records. What should I use to take care of this?
Thanks, FlDave

Strannik, it's a 2002 TLS. The rust is on both sides of the car near the shock towers under the hood. Dealer suggested I should try naval jelly on it. This should be done by Acura according to my warranty book. Regardless, I'd like to nip this in the bud and do it asap.

2002?!? I was kind of hoping you'll say '86 Legend... Anyway, that's what bumper-to-bumper warranty is all about - crap like this. However, I would look at your paint very carefully - you may have other problem spots, since this is the second time I've heard of TL rust problem. First one was below rear window, also on 2002 TL-S (I think). But in Chicago, not sunny Florida...
Anyway, take it to the dealer. Personally, I have no rust, but when my muffler paint started to peel, I had them repaint my mufflers for free.
