hey guys, just wanted to see if any of you have done a muffler delete and just replaced it with some pipes and tips. I want a loud exhaust but id rather not put that much into a performance exhaust in my 3500$ daily. leave some info on pipe diameter and tips, thanks everyone.

 

Make a custom 2.5" full catback pipes and be happy...

Even the mid muffler delete lends itself to a bit of droning, can't even fathom straight pipes from the cat-back!

Yeah, it's been done and it's a cheap mod if ya want more noise and don't mind a bit of droning as mentioned previously. Some like it loud and cheap !!! Just do it.

 

def not gonna go for a cat back, probly gonna be too much. Honestly dont care about a bit of drone if its a good amount louder with the mufflers gone.

Drone isn't bad until 2500rpm. I still have the same setup and miss the sound whenever I'm in a quiet car. Car is not even loud at idle or when cruising.

 

You cant accurately capture the actual sound of the drone with a video or sound clip.

 

Here is a rather inexpensive setup I have on my TL , although it is a Type S A-Spec

No Cat
Midpipe and Resonator are still on
2 performance mufflers (not sure what make)
