Hey guys,
Since a couple of days ago, my car's been acting strange. For no reason, my car alarm will just go off. This happened multiple times already, and no one was near the car when it happened. What would cause our car alarm system to randomly go off like that. Any input will help out a lot. Thanks.

It's either your battery is dying or your alarm has a bad ground. Most alarms will go off when you first connect them to the battery so if your battery is pretty drained and it might cycle your alarm on and off. Same if your alarm has a bad ground.

it happened to me for the past 2 years and finally oneday, my security system would not arm....

I brought it to the dealer and they found that my trunk latch is sticking sometimes..... meaning the trunk lock was not locking properly...

they replaced it last week and damn its working fine again....=)


I guess if ur trunk latch is not working properly, those false alarms will come on....

best bet is to bring it back to the dealer and let them try to figure it out...

if they don't find anything wrong.... then try to let them know about my situation...

thanks for the input...how can i know if my battery is about to die? but yea, once i go back home, i'm gonna take it into the dealership.
