my mom scratched the front driver side rim. Is there anything i can do to try to "fix" it. The scratch is bad but it is noticable.

 

There's a partial solution to this , I scratched my rim too once , same place , I used sandpaper to remove the debris (Three times first with a rough enough sandpaper to remove the debris , with a medium-roughness , and then finally with a smooth one to bring up the gloss) , spraying a TRANSPARENT satin paint will help enhance the gloss , but not really necessary , effect wasn't too noticable , sandpaper is enough.

If it wasn't too deep , sandpapering it will make the scratch not noticable unless you really look at it. Mine was like 0.5 - 1 mm deep , and 2-3 cms wide. Try to do it with your least severe scratch , and if the result isn't noticable , get a better help... Well hope my suggestion helps ...
