help with random rolling noise (Video)

Hey all,

so as you might recall, i've recently completed my drop by subbing out my oem struts for koni yellows mounted to HR race. drop is nice. i love it. but i've been having some issues since putting in the yellows.

first and foremost, my abs and tcs lights are on. I'm fairly confident as you have diagnosed that it is probably a wheel speed sensor...i'm going to lift it later this week (sadly it snowed hard today) and see what might be up.

but now, i've noticed (the weather gets colder, my radio gets lower) that i have an odd noise while rolling. it's sinusoidal so it is definitely related to the rolling of the wheels (the front ones i might add) and it sounds like it is rubbing on something but it isn't. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Anyways, i'm including a video i took just now, and if you put the volume up you can definitely hear the noise, it's more prevalent in the beginning. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I thought my life would get easier with the yellows, and it seems as if everything is going downhill

Have you tried jacking the car so the wheels are off the ground and spinning the wheel by hand? Could be wheel bearings or dragging caliper....

I just noticed the sound today, so I will jack it tomorrow when I go to my parents (they have a garage)

How would I tell if the caliper is dragging? would it be off it's track or loose on the rotor?

and would lube fix a wheel bearing? i did notice that when the car was jacked, the wheel spun freely....

Caliper dragging is caused by dirty sliding pins in the brake caliper that cause the brake pads to drag. You ll be able to tell when you have the car jacked. Spin the wheel by hand (with the car in neutral) and it should spin without any grinding noise. IF you hear grinding or its not spinning freely, remove the brake pads and spin the wheel again. If it goes away try pulling the sliding pins out of the caliper and cleaning them with brake cleaner as well as the cylinders they slide into. After cleaning lube them with moly lube or brake lube from your local auto store. If its not that and you spin the wheel and hear a metal on metal type of grinding, chances are its your bearing.

Wheel bearing DIY can be found here: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/wheel-bearing-diy-620807/

Dragging calipers can also be caused by the caliper piston(s). Have you ever replaced the brake fluid? How does it look in the resv.- clean or dark in color?

Did you do the drop or a shop?

Was the axle out at any time?

The damper forks in the correct way?
