It is a buzz noise that is about a second long and happens twice. It only does it when I start moving after I start the car. It wont again till I shut off the car then restart and put in drive or reverse and start moving again. The noise is generated from the drivers side of the engine compartment and is loud enough to hear inside the car over the stereo. Since it only happens when im moving its impossible to track it down... I HATE ABNORMAL NOISES IN MY CAR!!!! sorry for yelling.

Its from the passenger side. Its a normal noise. Its the ABS motor doing a self check/prime.

 

I wondered what that sound was too when I got my TL, until I read posts on here. Normal sound.

 

One check at 5mph and another at 15mph

 

Mine does it when the car is off.

 

Ok... I did a search on here and annoying ass buzzing sound from engine compartment did come up... Thanks

 

It doesn't seem like it should be loud enough to hear over the stereo though. i can only hear mine if I'm crouched near the outside of the car.

 

After the big snow fall here I got use to that sound lol.
