Help !!! PhotoSHop Grill Painting

I got an estimate from a nearby bodyshop to paint my grill for 125 + tax.

I want to paint the whole grill - mesh included and just leave the Acura logo part chromed (untouch). The paint shop told me to just paint-out the chrome part and leave the mesh black as is. He said for my colour it does NOT look good the way i wanted.

Mine is a 2000 firePepper red. Can someone with good PhotoSHop skill help me out please. I tried for 3 hours and it sucks (my lack of skill that is). Or at least show me a link to already painted ones.

Thanks guy

Leave the grill black or at most, silver.

Red would look ugly.

RED doesn't go well with the TL. Black, Blue, and White are the best.

post a pic of your car that you want people to play with. you might get more constructive critism, I was thinking about the same with my silver TL, but I was going to put a fine patterned mesh across the bottom holes and the grille, then paint them to match (maybe - I was going to decide then if black/chrome or aluminum brush finish would look better).

I already have it done on my car. '02 TL-S Nighthawk Black Pearl. Difference in it and stock is night and day. Not one regret I wish I had pics to show you. I think its worth it but thats easy for me to say considering my dad owns a body shop and painted it for me. One word of advice I would go all red anyway as I went all Black Pearl and love it.

Ok first of all, i want to say that Firepepper Red on a TL is fucking HOTT!!!

I love the color, and you should be proud to own it. Only reason i didnt get it was cause you cant get the ebony interior with it, and i HATE parchment.

Color coded grills are a different kind of look. I think it would look great on your car though, and you should do it. But honestly, if your going to do it, i would say go with the Mugen grille, and that would be hott shit. otehrwise, heres an idea of what it will look like:

As you can see, the guy with the gold TL color coded his grille, but he also color coded the bumper too. before it had the black air dam and "fog light" holes. now its all gold.

Looks good, except it does clash a little bit with the chrome trim on the grille.

THe car next to it, firepepper red, would look great with it i think.

Sooo.... GO FOR IT!!!! but dont pay $125 he can do it for less, just try to bring him down a little....
