Help! New Brake rotors and pads make noise while running! :(

Hey guys, I just finished installing my new front brake rotors and pads ordered from http://brakeperformance.com/brake-ro...ake-Rotors.php This is on 99 TL... Now I've done this before on my rear one and they work great no problem... However, for some reason the one that I just installed today on the front are making hizzy grinding noise sort of, and I have no idea what's going on... Is this something that will wear out with time or I need to take it to the shop for help? And btw the new brake pads are premium ceramic... It doesn't squeak or anything when brake, and the brake power is great, much much better than with the old rotors but the noise it makes kept me awake! HELP!

I appreciate any comments and suggestions! And thanks a bunch in advance!!

If they are the slotted and dimpled rotors odds are while braking they will continue to do so. It may get better with some age.

the link doesnt show what you bought,,are they drilled?
did you clean and grease all the critical movement points on caliper system?
done the bedding procedure specified by the maker?
are they the correct pads for a TL? there are minor differances that make a problem

if you are at a sticking point in self diagnostic- take it to a pro

tip for all: wash rims on both sides (helps to remove wheel from car)
then give them 2-3 coats of SYNTHETIC car wax, and buff well
NOT carnuba car wax, it melts right off at these temps~

not only will the brake dust have trouble grabbing and sticking, the rims will wipe clean and look freshly waxed like the rest of the car

The way I intepret his descript., they do not make noise when he uses them.

...It doesn't squeak or anything when brake...

What is a "hizzy grinding noise"? Can you post an audio clip?

Sort of hard to do... I won't make noise till I go above 30 or something like that, plus the wind noise... but I'll try I believe that the pad and the rotors are rubbing each other for sure... maybe the piston doesn't retract far enough? :/

They will always be incontact with the rotor, the piston isnt supposed to pull them off of the rotor. Now if one is stuck and constantly applying pressure then something is wrong.

if everything-- especially the pad slider tabs, where the pads clip in with those tabs on each end of pads, is clean and lubed-

when pressure is released from brake system the pistons retract the caliper slides back to resting position
and the slight wobble that all rotors have pushes the pads clear--
they remain about 1 mm off the rotors when `at rest`

I would take it back apart and look for unusual wear patterns on rotor or pads

Have you flushed the brake fluid, or did I ask that before,,its my standard question with brake jobs to make sure calipers are clean fluid and working
