Help with my 01 alarm. Please Help ME

Today i noticed a problem on my 01. When i press the lock button on my alarm the second time to make it beep, the beep isnt as loud as it usually would. Its like a horn was broken or something. Does this happen to your TLs also? What is the problem here?

Thanks

I've found it also depends which side you're facing and how far you are from your car. If I'm standing anywhere from the front of the car, the beep is louder than if I were to stand at the back.

yeah, I just noticed that today....sometimes it's loud and other times it's quiet. I'll check it out right after I leave my lab (which I'm at right now) and I'll post my findings when I get home.

sorry for not posting last night, stayed late after class and I colapsed into bed when I got home....but, anyways, here's what I found: When I stand on the near the front passenger door the "beep" is louder than anywhere else on the car. And when I stand near the back-left corner of the car it is still audible, but nearly as much at the opposite corner of the car. So, I think the "beeping thing" is mounted somewhere on the passenger side of the engine bay.

Usually that sounds the same for me. But it isnt as loud as it is suppose to be. There is no surrounding noise either. Could there be a wire or something disconnected the horn or something?

I've found that with mine it's loud some times and quiet others....it may depend on what's surrounding the car. I've found it's fairly loud in my driveway where there's a "wall" of trees a few inches from the passenger side, so it might just be echoing. I'm not familiar with the physics of sound, so I could be wrong.
