HELP with manuals and stuff

My fans arent coming on early enough and im trying to find some wiring schematics and a few other blow ups of parts associated with the cooling system such as the whole housing the thermostat is located in. ANybody know where to find them or have them? Im looking for the type of diagrams form a tech manual. Thanks

driver side fan is controlled via the temp sensor, located bottem right/pass corner of rad
I think 99s may have the sensor at thermostat

Its a very common failure- if driver side fan runs on after engine off, more than 2-3 minutes,,,or wont run when its needed--fan temp sensor failure

But sometimes an air bubble trapped after service on the system can fool the sensor

do a search for acura parts diagrams if you really need a pic

to find thermostat follow rad hose to engine (not sure which one for what year you may have)- follow one,, then the other,,there it is!!

use a honda genuine thermostat- the TL is picky about this part and thermostat fits in a certain way/direction arrow on it

any symptoms you want to share?
we love diagnosing~

k i thought it was controlled by the temp sensors by the thermostat housing. I have burped the system a couple times and changed the fluid a few times in attempt to fix this. Anybody have a pic or know where I could get one of the sensor you suggest replacing?

call any parts store--you want the `radiator fan temp sensor unit` that activates the fan
i think its 45$ or so
make a few phone calls and compare to dealer price

what exactly has your ongoing problem been?
are you using the owner book method to burp? heater on hot, cap on loosely, several minutes with rpm up, and at idle- fan cycles a few times,,then its burped

did you find a screw in type sensor at the thermostat?--thats probably it

look on the bottem right rear corner of the rad
is there a thing with a wire coming from it?
unscrew-remove- install new part- replace lost coolant and burp

make sure the rubber hose inside the resivour cap is attached ,,if it falls off and drops into the coolant- no transfer occurs between the two--thats bad

if you do a parts search on the internet thru acura dealers here- even kragens.com should have a pic of item or diagram-

Its the thumb sized thing with a wire

1999 chassis with mostly a 2003 engine, except for the plenum and water passage. 156k on chassis and radiator, ~50k on tranny, ~60k on engine. Temp is getting too highwhen sitting or not driving at consistent speeds aka the radiator is not getting sfficient airflow. The fans are also not turning on regularly like they did before this problem. They are not burnt out, have checked them by operating the condenser and jumping them. Its not the thermostat because i pulled it out and it still gets hot. Already replaced parts parts 13, 14, and swapped 15/16 with an extra i had laying around and nothing has changed. here is a link to a blow-up to show the parts i have changed. <<http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/jsp/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=TL&catcgry2=1 999&catcgry3=4DR+TL&catcgry4=KA4AT&catcgry5=WATER% 2BPUMP-SENSOR&ListAll=All&vinsrch=no>>

as far as burping goes i cant do the exact method completely because my fans dont come on. and yes the radiator reservoir hose is attached

but will turn by hand--so its not siezed?

radiator condition inside?
water pump condition?

both come one when AC is on. THEY will come on if i let the car sit and get to redline, but im really not a fan of doing that. not seized, as I said before it is jumpable. Does this radiator sensor exist, I cant find it anywhere on a 99, please show me where it is. radiator in great condition along with water pump. The coolant is circulating.
