Help Check Engline Light came on by accident

I was tampering with the wires for a little bit.( i unplugged the miles) but i put it back and the check engine light came on. How do i turn it off. Is there a way to reset it like the way you reset the oil light?

thanks

you unplugged the miles? you mean the odometer? can you do that?!?! Just for my own information... why were you tampering with it?? I think you can either disconnect the battery to clear the memory, or have to take it to the dealer... my SVT had the problem yesterday, so I reset that this afternoon by disconnecting the battery. Input anyone?

Better be care with that odometer. Those things are designed to detect tampering. You have to know what you are doing. (i don't)
