Help with brake Caliper!!

Well , after i had my brakes done at the dealer, changed everything, rotors, pads, ss brake lines, i noticed that after 30k miles i started noticing a sound coming from my front caliper like metal on metal, so i decided to take the brakes apart and see what the hell was going on, it turned out that the pad on the pass side was wearing out unevenly (the bottom of pad was on metal and the top had more than half of its life left), so i took the pins out of the calipers and cleaned them and regreased them and put new pads on and it did the job , but i think it is wearing the same again, anyway my question to you guys is,

Is there a replacment caliper that i can use , i just really want to replace the caliper, and not have to pay a arm and a leg to do it, any suggestions? thanks for all your help!

I don't think they are making remanufactured calipers for our cars yet. Try a junk yard...that's ur best bet.

Don't ever buy brake parts from junk yard. As they sit out for a little while, corrosion can set in, and then play a very cruel joke on you when you install it on your car... Will probably be worse than what you have.

You can try autozone or pepboys to see if the have it. They are basically rebuilt calipers with lifetime warranties. That's where I got my legend genII caliper for my tl upgrade and my z32 caliper for my 240 brake upgrade. A lot cheaper than the dealer and the same price as a junkyard for used.

I checked for replacement/remanufactor ones, but our cars are still too new for them to make it. As for junkyard ones, you don't really have to worry about corrosion, you can just clean it off, only thing you have to worry about are the piston seals.

actually , i called a local import parts shop here in michigan and they do have them but they are selling them for 99.99 a piece and thats if i give them my old ones, a 50 dollar core charge, so if they don't accept mine they will be 150 a piece, does that sound a lot for oem calipers, well rebuilt ones anyway!
i am going to call murrays auto parts on monday to see if they can do anything!!

a guy from Vancouver that has a shop did it on his TL he had 4 pot spoon calipers in the front

and the metal to metal sound is your squealers indicating that your brake pads need to be changed..

hey guys 2 questions (wait make that more):

1) for somewhat spirited driving, how many miles should I expect to get out of my original brakes? I've had my TL-S since 6/02 and have laid on almost 37k miles.

I really want to get the brake upgrade so...
1) what's the difference between slotted and (cross?)-drilled?
2) I assume because the car is front enginge & fwd, I really only need brake upgrade for the front wheels?
3) I want to get the brembo kit, will acura install? if not is it something I should be wary of? like a test question I can ask the shop I choose to get the upgrade done...

thanks so much guys, help is much appreciated...
