someone plz check their manual, help me out, needing to know if it can be fixed

 

Saw that you bought it off ebay. Email the person you bought it off off. Usually it says code and then you have to enter the digits. I hope its not because they tried too many times to input the code and failed.

 

no i have the code and the radio works fine but when i press cd button in says CHEC and ER-E1.

 

I know someone knows something, c-mon

 

I think thats the code saying a CD is stuck in the changer.....more than likely it will have to be replaced. Try holding the eject button for 5-10 sec and see if the error still comes up. If it does, your probably going to have to shell out $$$ for a new player if the car is out of waranty.

 

Hey dude, I have the same problem with the 03 TL I just bought. Did you get yours to work or did you warrantied it?

 

I would say that probably one of the trays aren't connected or something. I had this problem also and somehow I fixed it.

 

mine did that also, the dealer said that the trays in the changer get warped making the CDs get stuck on ejection. I could "help" the cd come out by using a credit card or other cd to align the ejecting cd.

 

I had this on my 2002 a while ago....

Anyways, searched and basically, someone suggested banging on the side of the centre console after pressing the eject button and presto! it spat the CD out.

Since then, I've only needed to do this once and this was back during the summer.
