Help Bleeding!!

I am going to be changing my calipers and i was just wondering if i am only changing the front calipers , do i need to bleed the rear or just the front? and if i do need to bleed all the lines , what order do i do it in?

and how many brake fluid containers do our cars have, because i know on the 92 legend they have 2, one for the lines and one for the abs, is ours a similar setup?

thanx

there is only 1 mastercylinder on our cars. you have to bleed ALL 4 lines. starting from the 1 furthest from the master cylinder moving your way around (passenger rear 1st, driver rear 2nd, passenger front 3rd, driver front 4th.) i would follow this procidure atleast twice or until all the air is out of the fluid

Exactly. Farthest to master then the closest.

There's alot of misconception about which order to bleed first. The common answer is most farthest away to closest to the master cylinder. At first this is what i believed too, since everyone on here states that.

But I bough a "1 man brake bleeder device" and it told me for a REAR WHEEL DRIVE car, you do it fartest to closest. But for a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE car, you do RR, FL, RL, FR. The reasoning is that the brake system is a "Dual Diagonal" system. If you go on Acura's website and look under the specs for brakes, it will say dual diagonal system.

I called up the service manager and he confirmed that for a dual diagonal brake system like ours, it would be best if you did RR, FL,RL,FR.

I know I'm going to get shot for this because everyone believes the other way is correct.

I agree with you ... I hope I don't get shot too.

on my maxima (fwd), it's a criss cross bleeding order starting with the wheel farthest away.

from what I remember about the reasoning, it had something to do with better stability is one of the brakes should fail
