Help.......
Ok so I think its the axel(s).
I get a very bad vibration during excelleration. It gets worse when I turn left. it literally shakes the car.
Has anyone gone through this before? Is there anything I should look for? Could it be anything else?
Thanks in advance for all the help.

this only occurs during acceleration? this doesnt occur when braking or idle?

Only during acceleration, Low rpms and high rpms...
NOT when idleing or braking...
whole car shakes, sterring wheel dash, NOT the shifter!

Is there a DIY for CV'z?? How can I test them to see which one is bad, (inner, outer, left, right??)
acuraparts247.com -----CV joint sets are not that expensive, 164 and 210!
Thanks.
Its all JUST money right?

Is it only when you accelerate? If you take your foot off the gas does it stop shaking?
Axles, CVs, etc. would give you the shakes all the time.
My guess (just a guess) is it could be engine issues. I'd check the coil packs for a bad one (my car made the same shake, I discovered it was a bad coil pack).
Does it shake when you accelerate in park? Could also be a bad injector.
Give us some more clues.

Ok In park and Neutral I revved out and no vibration at all. So it is only when in motion.
It is not the engine or the mounts. I paooped the hood put the e-brake in and accelerated in drive and the engine was solid.
Can anything else help?

lay down and with the wheel straight grab the axels and wank on them in a few directions. they shouldnt have any plau in them. if you do its a bad axel. you can get them fairly reasonable thru a parts store. no need to spend 1k on them, install is fairly easy just a ball joint seperator and a few sockets

Thats true, The car should not shake at a stand still if it is the CV'z or axels because they need to rotate to make any kind of vibration.

Ok I am going down a totally different path here.... I say you should check the tires ....
Balance will cause a vibration in the whole front end and perhaps the problem is worse under accelleration because.... well I dont know.... but I still say check the tires. I had a tread break once in a car I had and that damn thing road like a covered wagon with no visible signs of problem.
If it were the CV joint could he not cut the wheel at a slower speed (like parking lot speed) and listen to it pop? The popping on turns in parking lots has always been how I have known that was what the problem was but I am not a mechanic and there could be many other ways that are better.
Other than that you should jack it up (so no weight is on the tire) and try to pull out and push in on the top and sides of the tire. It should have no play as was said before and if it does I believe that is ball joints. I don't know anythiing about axle checks... all I have seen wrong with that is it is worn out and then they roar. It sounds like others here know more than I on most possible problems..... BUT.... I still say check the tires.... that seems most obvious to me.
PS Or you could take it to a local mechanic you trust and let him take a peek at it. Luckily I have one I trust, which is hard to find as I am 36 and this is the first one I have ever had.
