Hello Everyone
Hi everyone,
This is my first time posting to a car enthusiast forum... but then again this is the first time I've ever owned a car like this one. My WDP TL-S has 200 miles on it so far, and I've loved every one of them.
I've owned lots of cars in my 32 years, but this is by far my favorite... I've owned a Mitsubishi Starion, a Acura Legend Coupe, A Honda Accord EX, And a couple of SUV's (Land Rover, Blazer, and my current Durango R/T). I also owned a 93 Formula Firebird that was a beast (over 300hp and 6 speed).
I can't believe how much I love my TL-S!! It is just perfect. I looked at everything before buying it, and I am completely staisfied.
I just installed a Passport SR1 remote radar detector, I also own a Valentine 1 (I use it in my truck), but so far this passport is far better.
Take Care!

Hello Mike! Welcome to this place many of us call home. Congrats on your purchase and take it easy on the car until after you break it in.
BTW, I have about 9500 miles on my S and I still love it!

Congrats and welcome!! I know the feeling you have regarding this car - I haven't driven a ton of high-end cars or anything, but I still remember driving home that first day from the dealer. I realized that the TL-S was the nicest car I had ever driven, much less OWNED!!! Feels awesome!
Continue to enjoy and be patient during the break-in period....

The radar setup ran me $900 (which is a little crazy I know). The display is in the wierd little compartment above the radio (what is that for anyway??) I normally leave it in there and I can hear it fine, but I pull it out when I'm on the highway so I can see all of the alerts. It is a great setup, and this detector is awesome in its features and sensitivity.
I'm not really planning any mods, I feel like an old fart, but I have a kid on the way, so the most major mod I'm going to do is put a car seat in. I don't need a lowered car, and it handles fine for me. I'd love more low range power, but I don't want to mess with the warranty (so no supercharger), and CAI 's benefits don't do it for me (just not enough). I'm thinking about tint though.
I used to install stereos (and worked on a car that won the Car Audio Nationals years ago) So one day I may put in a center channel or a better sub, but since this is a family car to me, we'll see. And I have to spend my money on things like car seats and cribs.
I'm careful with break in, don't worry, but I understand that this is a very high tolerance engine, so the break in doesn't do as much as a break in period used to do.
