heated seats not heating anymore..
turned the driver's side heat on high and the seat heat did not come on. The back did heat. the bottom did not. Oh well, trip to the dealer, i guess.

Whoa... when I first read that part... I thought you meant your back seats heat up...

what was the reason why it went out? now i'm wondering if my driver seat bottom may be either out or taking much longer than the seat back to heat up.
i'm also curious to know why the passenger seat back can't have a heating element. people say it's cuz of the side airbag system, but the driver side also has one too.

Both side airbags will be turned off if the sensor is triggered, but if the driver is driving the car, he more than likely wont be slumped on the door and not in the center of his seat would he???
If you have the owners manual, you really should read through it.
P.S. I thought the senors were purely sensing weight, but if I stick something like my sunscreen in between the seat and door without even touching the seat, the sensor gets activated.
