Angry Headlights almost taken

I took my son to Barnes & Noble in Co-Op city this evening and as I was leaving I heard my alarm going off so when I turn the corner I see a guy crouched down by my car the little f**ker was trying to steal my headlights he popped the bumper out and guess I got there before he could do any more damage but damn he was driving a little civic with his buddy I wish I could have gotten the plates but the d**n car was too far away. Well any of you guys in the city stay away from Co-Op with your TL's I can say I wont be going back there anymore. But now I have to check into replacing the d**n bumper because they broke the side clamp and it wont stay in now f**king unreal man I was in there for 10 mins tops like I said never again

I'll bet that got your adrenaline running! If I saw someone doing that to mine or someone else's car I'd probably be in jail right now.

OMG! If I would have caught that a$$hole, I would be on the 10 o'clock news for major assault.
BTW, I suggest if you go somewhere that you are uneasy about, leave someone in the TL while you do your shopping. I freaking hate people who don't have respect for other people's property.

I take it you have an aftermarket alarm and/or shock sensor. Good thing or they would have been gone for sure. Bumper cover is a heck of a lot cheaper to replace than cover, hood, lights, etc. It sucks but it could have been a *lot* worse....

DAMMMMM!!!!!! Forget about making the 10:00 clock news. I would of made it on national news like CNN "This just in". For losing my mind in rage and chasing his a$$ through the Bronx eventually ramming him off the Whitestone Bridge (No way you could of done anything having your son with you.)

But that suck's man, good thing you had the alarm (keyword here "aftermarket") on your ride Alarm's can't involve the word "option" in NYC. It's mandatory equipment, not a option. At a minimum, factory w/shock sensor.

One thing I was fearing was how fast and easy it seems for these ba$tard's to do this! I'm not gonna elaborate any further, $hit's getting me mad as I write this!

Good luck with the repair on your ride Deez. VICNYC_TL, good lookin out offering your help, good seeing member's giving support. There is allot of good people on this board man.

I think we should set a decoy tl in the same parking lot and have all of us waiting around hiding in the lot, then when the mofos come for the lights.......... there will be no escape.

unbelievable

deez- Sorry to hear the news- give us a call and I'll see if we can repair that bumper without having to replace it. If its just the one end fastner, sometimes it can just be repaired using a different bolt and washer.

We should have a meet in the parking lot, leave the cars, then wait.

It should not take too long before little sh!t civic showed up, he'd be drooling at all of the TL.s, then we could begin to have "an enjoyable meet"

Some of the municipalities in NJ have started doing this. They set up a sting by leaving a TL in a parking lot with a video camera recording activity around it. When someone tries to knock the bumper cap off the cops jump out of a van parked nearby and nail them. It's a felony too since the value of the repair is $3K+.
