Headlights

Hi guys, just hope some of you guys can shed some light. I have a 02 white diamond pearl(WDP) without a kit and I'm thinking of two things. I want to do my headlights but I'm not sure what exactly what I'm going to do. Now I like the black housing but not sure if it matches the rest of the car. I have dark tinted windows so I'm guessing it would be alright.

What do you guys recommend? Black or Clear?

and the other thing is: Does it get a little dimmer with black housing or its OK if you use clearcoat?

Thanks and looking forward to your responses.

this is vsop TL-S's with blacked out housing.

heres my own baby just cleared

do a search and u can find plenty of pics of cleared lights with an w/o paint. Personally, i think unless u go with black rims on WDP, just cleared lights look better. As far as i kno, black housing shouldn't dim ur lights if u put a clearcoat, maybe evenn if u don't, but its good to put a clearcoat on regardless just for protection.

so basically:
- if u plan to do black rims, do black housing...it would look nice still if u dont have black rims, just not as good
- If ur not gonna put black rims, i personally feel u should go with clear housing. Looks and matches better with WDP, regardless of the fact u have black tints.

Black housing on WDP is my favorite combo from that color. I love WDP and the black housings really set it apart in style. Also, you might want to consider rockblocker smoked taillights, but cut the film to leave the clear part of the housing visible. Search for rockblocker and you'll see what I mean. Just an option. But the black on white scheme is def a great idea to think over!

When you take apart the housing to clear the lights you just paint the large chrome front piece flat black.
