Post headlight reflector!

from few days i have noticed that my passenger side headlight is aiming way too low on the ground and today i noticed that the hid bulb is pointing straight and the reflector (white cap inside the headlight housing) is bent down or broken cannot tell and i can't aim the passenger side headlight either. is there any possible way to fix this issue?

Take a pic and post it on here so we can see what cap you are referring too. I havent seen a white cap in the headlights before. If you are referring to the inner lens being popped out of place, the you could get a screw driver with a rag taped to the end of it and try to pop the lens back in place from the high beam bulb location. Otherwise you would have to open the headlight to fix it...

i guess it's the inner lens, sorry about that white cap misperception...also is it causing the bulb to not aim properly?

Yes, you can pop this back into place.... or at least you should be able to without having to open the headlight. Its weird that it pooped out in the first place.... makes me wonder if maybe the tabs are broken.

When I had my 99, I actually removed those lenses lol...

Edit: Yes it would cause teh bulbs not to aim properly. The lens is made to angle the light from the HID bulb so that it doesnt blind oncoming traffic and is focused in the right areas. With the lens out of place it will cause the light to be aimed incorrectly and adjusting the headlight will not fix it.

Yes the bulb needs to come out, but I would highly recommend removing the headlight for this procedure. Nothing helps better than gravity. If yo use a screwdriver please, for the love of god, put a rag on the end or use the handle side to do this. I would hate for you to scratch your lens up attempting this cause then youre gonna come on here at curse me to no end lol.

Just be very careful in what you do and think 2 steps ahead. The best way to do this is to open the headlight but it is very tasking to do and quite scary the first time.

is there any need to take out the hid bulb because i donot want to as today i tried to take it out but it didn't worked too well. i unlocked the black cover but there were wires all over and i didn't know what to do next so i spent like 30 mins to put that back on.....everytime i put it back, it was loose...also it does some cosmetic damage to your hands...lol

Its less difficult to remove the HID bulb then it looks. I was completely unaware of how to remove the bulb on my first attempt. You should not need to remove the HID bulb unless you have to open the headlight by baking it in the oven. The high beam bulb should give you enough access to push the lens back in place.

You should be able to get it to snap in place. Like I said before, Im surprised it came out on its own.

i looked at the housing but there is no way to get to the lens....even if i take out the high beam bulb there is not enought space to get to the lens.... i guess it's the time to black out headlights...lol Also it looks like if its broken inside as compared to driver side...

Pictures? I dont see why the screwdriver wouldnt work unless it wasnt long enough.... either way I think opening the headlights would be the best way to do this.

Put the pictures on a hosting site like photobucket then copy and paste the IMG code on here for the pic that you want to post. Pics are worth a thousand words.
