Headlight may need replacing soon...

2 days ago my right headlight went out as i parked at a fiends house.
When i started the car a few hours later, it turned back on. Is this an indication that i may need to replace the bulb soon? If so, should i replace both, left and right? When i do replace them, i want something that'll be bright and bit blueish. What should i get?

really 1st???,,as long as you have been here.. and you ask the most basic, well covered in dozens of threads,, headlight question?

it may be bulbs,,was there a pink or purple tint to light at startup recently?
have to be pointed at a building to notice--thats bulb age death

or
you have the common problem of wearout plus water inside housing lens = time for a `kit` with all new HID operating parts and bulbs...see www.hidextra.com for the 59$ special

stock bulb color was 4300K, 5000 is a nice upgrade,,
6000 loses white light on the road which you need to see with!

moisture inside the headlight lens drips out and onto the ballast, fries it and the capacitor/ignitor

the `kit` has all the needed parts to replace, and repair the system

No moisture in the housing.

I had to give you a bad time~ it was too easy!

If this were my car, would go with the kit from www. hidextra.com (actually, I did!)
Canuks price -to your door- was $80 or 90 according to recent ziner post
the kit is $59 minus 10% coupon
and the OPTIONAL but useful if you have really strange electric probs with lights, relay kit- is 16$ usd..NOT needed by most = optional

moisture attacks the electrics,,Canada probably has its share of wet winters??
the seals on the stock parts suck

the aftermarket kit parts are waterproof, with nice rubber seals at all connections too

I should mention that it's been flickering for the past 6 months.
Going to be upgrading the bulbs to 5000k .

whatever one says $59 is the one for us, has all you need including 2 bulbs, 2 ballast, 2 capacitor/ignitor...

You will need to buy a few connectors to splice the wire, and some shrink wrap tape is good to cover those when done

there are coupons on the sites main page or online for 10% discount
