headlight fogging up

I've had my headlight dry for about 3 weeks....during those three weeks...in rained like hell but today on a sunny dry day...i washed my car and the driverside fogged up...

i unpluged turn signal to dry out the headlight a little but didn't work...so i left the high beam on and drove around with turn signal un plugged...it got lotta moisture out but not completely...

someone PLEASE help...has this happened to anyone and how do i fix this? without resealing my headlight....i would if i have to but i rather not cause it's pain in the as$.

you're lucky..both mine fogged up & busted my HID bulbs...now i gotta buy new ones =(................ but just do what i did.........mine are completely dry now....

everytime it gets sunny as hell outside, just take out high beams and corners and keep ur hood open and let it sit for a few hours. close it b4 it gets night time.(gets pretty humid). after i did that for a couple-few days, it got all the moisture out.

Damn blue, I'm sorry to hear about this.

If you don't want to go about doing it all over again, I would recommend using a clear silicone all around (if not, at least the top and sides). You can easily do a clean job using masking tape on both sides of the seam and apply it. On the top, simply fill in the silicone below the rubber gasket and do a clean but thorough job.

There should be NO moisture in the housings. Be it from rain or washing, water should not get in. It's not welcome and you need to make certain it don't come back in.

If I were you, I would at least remove the housings again and without taking it apart, seal the outer perimeter. That's the least I would do. I wouldn't want to go buy another set of HID's like numbaonexstunna had to do...ouch. That must of hurt.

Good luck.

sorry to hear that, I really want to clear my headlight but that's the reason keeps me from clearing it.
