headlight flicker when locked on keyless entry!

ok, so i havent had anything wrong with my headlights on my 02 except when i turn them on it takes a few seconds for them to turn on fully....
so at night when i exit my car and the lights remain on for 15 seconds they are fine, but when i press the lock button on the keyless entry (all the lights are supposed to flash?) they all flash including headlights but the passenger headlight flickers as if its dead, i have a video but dont know how to post a video...

now that i think about it, when all the lights are left on (headlights too) after the 15 seconds they turn off, when you lock your cars from keyless entry, i dont think they used to all flash once, i thought the parking lights were the only lights that flashed once... could this be from me doing the fog light mod a few weeks ago?

My 01 only flashes the yellow park/turn signals when locking with the remote.

The headlight bulbs are probably on the way out. Pink for a few seconds coming on- flickering- all bad signs. Swap the bulbs left to right and see if it changes. That will determine if its bulb or ballast problem.
5 years is about right on bulb life, there have been several of us upgrading recently.
Its 100-150 dollars for a pair of good bulbs- the dealer gets that much per bulb

thats a possibilty of why they do it - as I recall my wife noticing them flash when it was parked with the lights on

Its think its really hard on the HIDs to flash them

I noticed this too, just dont leave your lights "on" the headlamp position, leave just the corner markers if you have to, but dont flash HIDs too much. The initial start powered from the ballast take a lot of power, so you dont want your battery dying on you either. On a side note...If it flickers really bad it might be your igniter.

Sorry to revive this thread from the dead. But I just did my fog light mod and my car does the same exact thing. If I leave my headlights on, close the door, let them turn off then lock, my passenger side xenon will flicker badly.

Does anyone know why? Is this a sign of a bad ballast? My headlights work normally otherwise

Recheck your wiring. Especially the side that's flickering. Maybe a loose connection or ground wire ?

If it wasn't doing this before the fog light mod, then it's something recently done that is causing this new problem, IMO.

Thanks 3.2tlc for the response.

Hmm I can give that a check. But all I really did was pull out the fog light switch on the left side of my dash and solders 2 wires together. Could that affect the grounding on my headlights?

Only one way to find out for sure.....disable the fog light switch and see what happens.
