headlight bulb replacement torx screw
What's up with the torx screw holding in the headlight? I've been told its a #20 which I have, but there is a raised portion in the middle of the screw, which means my bit would have to have a "pen tip" sized hole in the middle of it to be able to fit into the screw. Can I get something for this at an auto parts store? 02 TLS
its a torx security bit. theres some really cool bits that are used for different purposes by different companies. i have a set that lets me take the cover off the gas and electric meters
these sets can be pretty pricey and i have no idea why acura decided to use it cuz now ever mechanic has to buy one because noone likes to share tools.

Cool. Ill try autozone. Hope it doesn't cost too much. If so I might try the needle nose method.
I never noticed any pinkish color to my lights, then again I don't often stare into them from the drivers seat
. I noticed the other day that only one was on. I turned my lights off and on, and both stayed on. This happened one more time, but now only one works. Could it be the ballast?

the #20 Torx SECURITY bit- thats different that a regular torx 20- you need security
It was used by GM iirc, probably a lot of them available cheap where they assemble the TL
You can use a dremel to cut a flat blade screwdriver section across it
No one tries to steal the bulbs by removing the back cover to the lights- they take a prybar to the edge of the hood and light housing and bam! its gone
they get the bulb out later~
