Headers void warranty?

Just chillen..
No, you can install headers, exhaust, whatever, the only way the dealer can void your warranty is if they have hard proof that the aftermarket part you installed caused the car to have a problem.

i've been down this road many times in the Audi community.
in the real world, what it boils down to is that it's up to the dealer. some are much more resistant to do warranty work on modded cars. some don't seem to care much.
i'd say any dealer has a good case to deny warranty work since the headers and exhaust is a power adder. more power thru the tranny means more stress means higher likelihood for failure means denial.
if you fail a tranny and you have headers/exhaust, and the dealer says "no", what are you going to do? hire a lawyer to fight them? good luck with that. your car's still busted and you have to pay a lawyer and wait for it to get resolved.
the best overall advice is to be up front with your dealer's service advisor(s). ask them what their stance is on these kinds of modifications.
i know what the law says, but it works differently in the real world.

tell the service advisor where to go
Speak ONLY with the MANAGER if you have concerns- headers are a non issue
if they pulled something out of thin air to deny coverage on a well documented failuire point of our cars...well now you know better
regardless of HP or how gently driven it always was- one day you join azine, and then your trans goes out- go figure
