Hello to all acura community members.I just purchase a 2002 acura TL-S a month ago.?? about headers how many companys makes headers for this car and price and if they are smog legal? THANKS IN ADVANCE

 

Do a search man, you'll find a wealth of information.

The most popular header manufacturers are Comptech, AlphaWerks, Stone, OBX and Megan.

When you mean smog legal are you talking about having a CARB EO#? If you live in California, then the only CARB approved header is made by Comptech. However the CT headers come at a premium, at $1K for a new set. The Alphawerks are about $600, while the OBX & Megans are in the $250 range. The Stone headers are inexpensive too, but hard to come by.

 

So far only Comptech's (comptechusa.com) header is CARB certified. There are also numbers of other manufacturers on the market - OBX, Stone, Megan, to name a few. Check ebay or search on this forum and you will find a lot of discussions about header.
