Headers?

Okay I previously saw someone post up the quality of headers as in this order:
Comptech
Alpha Werks
SS headers
and OBX.

Is this true?? Do you guys know if Alpha Werks is reliable?

Looks about right, SS might be better than Alphawerks. SS and Alphawerks have not been out too long, so no real feedback on them. The only thing posted was someone purchased Alphawerks headers on EBay and it looked like it had a crack on a weld. Can't say if it was or just a shadow. People have complained about cracks on the OBX, so at least we have some feedback there. Of course if $$$ is not an issue just stick with best, Comptech.

I thought the Alphawerks headers were hard to get a hold off until the end of Nov. I have the AW headers. Fitment were perfect no issue. Re-use stock manifold gasket. Lots of power across the rev band and more when vtec kicks in.

I have the Stone headers (SS headers) and everything is great with them. I find it hard to believe that the AW's are so good because they have only been out for a month or so - for the most part. Ill laugh if they start cracking in a few months and everyone already has them.

The only problem with the Stone headers that have been reported was the first few batches didnt fit properly - I have the latest batch and they fit up just fine.

there wasnt a crack in the picture, it was a shaddow. there is no gaurentee with any thing that its going to be perfect. comptech has teh highest rep, but they are the most expensive. SS and alpha seem to be good quallity also. obx has had some issues with cracking.

.

tell me about it, and that guy who is now selling them is trying to justify his margins by saying that the more expensive something is the better it is.

I think I would fork out the money to buy Comptech Headers if i had to do it over again. My OBX lasted 6 months before they had a crack in them. Now every weld is cracked, I have exhuast leak which sounds like sh*t. My car feels sluggish now.

I could get them re-weld, but some members on the board said they crack again after multiple welds

ceramic headers are really not that great. The steel quality on the inner layer is really thin which will lead to it cracking. Get stainless steel
