So I was was wondering around my local u-pick it and they had a 2002 acura mdx I want to know if the j35a3 heads on it is a direct bolt on I can get them for 1$ per pound coming up next month when they do June sale. And also want to know if I need to change anything dealing with the ecu and if the header placement changes do to being a larger head. If everything is direct bolt on without messing with the ecu on my 1999 tl would it see decent gains because at 1$ per pound it would be a pretty cheap upgrade

99TL had a different part number than 01-02 MDX J35A3, 00-03 TL. But, I doubt there's any gains to be had on a 99 base j32a1. If anything, 2G CL/TL Type S heads would be a better option as they have slightly better cams and intake valvesprings. Grab the matching lower intake runners if you do find type s heads.
