Just picked up my 99 TL and already I having brake issues. I knew the TL needed new brake pads (negotiated this with prior owner) so, I am going to replace those. But... my problem is when I put the car in reverse, it sounds like a FOG HORN is going off underneath the car . Is that a sign of brake pad replacement, or is that something to do with rotors? BTW, I have very minor steering wheel shaking when I apply the brakes.


Anyhow, I called the dealer and they quoted me the following prices

$235 for front brake pads and resurfacing of front rotors

$140 for rear brake pads


Are these acceptable prices?
