I have purchased crushed 2000TL for parts and it came with the Navigation system.
I am wondering if it is worth it to put on my 2001TL?
Is this a good gadget? Does it work properly?
Please any ideas/advise would be appreciated

Also, on TLs without Navi you can see allot of other control buttons/handles for the Climate Control, much more then in TL's dashboard with the Navi.
Question: the buttons of the Climate Control in the TLs where the Navi is installed, are they multipurpose buttons?

 

well, basically on cars WITH navi, if you're doing anything other than auto climate control, it goes thru the navi screen

things like changing fan speed, changing where the air is coming out, and on/off ac all goes thru the navi screen
only auto climate control is worked thru the buttons on NAVI cars

if your car is NOT a navi, then from what i hear, it's quite a job to convert it to a NAVI...someone here might have more info, but i've heard it's hell doing the conversion

in the event that you DO NOT use the system, let me know if you wanna sell just the DVD drive
i have a 99 NAVI, with the hard drive, i'd love to swap it out for the DVD drive

 

uncsuperman how much would you buy it for? :P

 

I am interested in the screen and/or the DVD drive as well.

it's not like i need the DVD drive, i don't use it that much, but it'd be nice to have the better format with newer updates available
