I know the ABS does a self check everytime you start the car and put it in drive. But my car does it twice for some reason. Here's a scenerio that will gaurantee it'll do it twice. Start the car, put it drive and go up to about 15 mph. This should active the first check. Then I let the car rolling for about 60 feet at the speed, then brake to 5 mph and then gas it. Right after I gas it, the ABS check activates again. It happens every morning on my way to work. Is anyone experiencing this too?

actually it SHOULD check twice, my does. once at 5mph and once at 15mph

 

It is normal, two ABS checks!

 

That's a relief but I don't see anywhere in the manual saying the system will be checked twice.

 

Who cares as long as your car stops when you apply the brakes
