Has anyone hit 13's in the 1/4?
I'm getting ready to go from LT4 Corvette which runs a 13 quarter to a TLs... does anyone have any info on someone with a very fast TLs and what they've done to the car?

hehe, I do too, I'm just ready for something new.. this is my third consecutive vette.. all three looked almost exactly alike. I love them, but I've always wanted a sports sedan.

Z06's kinda bore me, sure they're fast, but that's it.. also, I've got another reason to be tired of seeing vettes, have you been to my web site? All I see everytday is vettes..... http://www.kevcarart.com

I dont know the exact changes for the 04 TLs but I hear they are going to be alot better that the ones that are out now.
I cant believe that the Z06 bores you! Have you test drove a TL or CL-S?

Yes, I actually brought home a 02 TLs for a few days on demo, also a GS400.. loved them both.. but TL s has the car for the money!!!!!!
The Z06 is nice, but I have lots of friends with them if I wanted to ride in one.
typeR, excuse my ignorance, but what is a cai, a res, and a MMII?

Oh yea the TL-S is defenatly the best car for the money.
You should go ahead and buy it, because you'll love it, I love mine and I cant wait tell the SC comes out for it.

RES is some kind of mod(hehe, that's all I know... :p)that give you performance boost at minimum costs....
If you want a really sporty Sports Sedan, C32 AMG, S4 might be a much better choice, IMO.....but again, TLS is the "bang for the buck"....
P.S. Maybe give Infiniti G35 a shot as well?? The car just came out couple days ago in my area... I went check it out... very nice car... looks better in person than in photos... but still need some getting use to....

well I somebody did with NOS.. it was a TL-P, ran a very high 13
Z06 is the car I will get for bang of the buck performance.
M3 is hot, but somehow it lacks the exotic feeling and the rareness of the Vette. I mean there are Bimmers everywhere, and they look all too similar in style... The vette looks a lot different than other Chevy

vettes are played out... i see them everywhere.... and i cant imagine driving the vette everyday.. getting in, getting out would get annoying. Its a fun car, but not really pratical for everyday driving.IMO
For the parts that ARE out right now, you can hit low 14s no problem. 13s is only a supercharger away.

cai+cold air intake..5-8 whp/5lb.ft 200-300$
RES or mysterymod is 12-15hp/12-15lb.ft. to almost all the power range 300-400$
MMII or mysterymod II is electrical should sell for around 100$ and have similar gains to RES and should work to compliment RES
the dyno below or above not sure where itll appear is stock tl-s.then RES then RES and cai...add all the above listed including the most important TIRES and you should be 325 hp /260 lb.ft crank power.

im sure you can make a c5 as fast as a zo6. i got a freind of mine that runs 11.1 with a 99 c5 on street tires all motor.
why dont you go with a viper then? dont you think you'll miss all that low end torque and hp??

Z06...
After owning one for about 9 months, I hated it. Its great to have as an extra car for the summers (don't get me wrong). But if you want an every day driver, stay away from the vette! Not only can you not drive it in the winter, but you can't drive it in the rain either (I should know since I almost died). Maybe I am partially biased since my car was a lemon? Anyway I am glad that GM hd to buy i back cause now I pick up the 03 TLS on monday As for driving really fast, I have somewhat got that out of my system although I got the TLS with the comptech headers and exhaust. :p
