Has anybody put on wood trim AC vent surrounds?
The question speaks for itself. I would like to order these from A & H motors, but want to know if they come with adhesive and are pre-molded before I do. I hope somebody answers this question...

Are you referring to the same thing I am? The link with a good picture is here:
http://www.acura.com/model_tl/tl_byo/tl_byo_frm.asp
Click on "Brown Wood AC vent trim"
IMO, this looks better than the stick on wood that comes in kits (I assume that is what you are suggesting I order?).

I agree with 97slammedTL, the thin pieces supplied with my kit looked cheap and detracted from the overall nice appearance of the installed kit. I installed the pieces (heated to stick only) and drove around for a couple of days. No one seemed to like them. Then I removed them, which seemed to improve the overall appearance of the interior. The pieces shown on the Acura site look MUCH nicer. Maybe I'll have to run down to my local dealership and check on the avaiability. What price is your dealer quoting you? The web site lists the two pieces for $54 - installed.

Looks great Nate. By the way where did you buy your trim kit? There appears to be a slight color difference between the console side pieces and the kit pieces, or is it just the picture?

I believe its the Inspire same as the Inspire vent trim.
Nah the console trim is a perfect match... actually, the vent trim doesn't match the factory wood as well as the aftermarket kit. =/
