Question Harmonic Balancing Pulley.

Is the TL engine internally or externally balanced? The reason I ask is because I plan on putting in the UR crank pulley and need to know if I have to mess with the Harmonic balancing pulley.

I don't really have a clue what to look for and I can't find anything in the owners manual. Time to buy the helms manual I guess. Thanks guys.

There is no harmonic balancing pulley on the TL. Just buy the UR pulley and put it on. Nothing to worry about.

Werd.

Installation is a PITA though. Make sure the person installing your pulley has a crank pulley tool (to get the OEM Crank Pulley off).

The person(s) are myself and a friend's father. He probably does not have that tool.

This is one job that even Kris agrees - major pain and major potential for personal injury!!
Let the local Acura specialist shop do it- there is one in every town- look for performance and import/sports shops, ask any kid with a loud muffler and dropped springs where to go.
Normal charge is about 1 hour labor @ $60 and you can buy the correct new size belt from Excellerate when you order the pulley. Make a note ON the car-maybe on the strut tower of the new belt number for any future owner.
UR crank pulley-Well worth the small investment for amount of fun derived
Get a K&N air filter to feed the engine more air too.

I have the pulley and the belt already. Just waiting to work with my friends father. He's been working on cars since his teens, so I am not worried about his experience. He claims he will know what to do no problem. Personal injury does scare me though....
