hey a buddy of mine did this to his valentine one, but he hardwired it to his radio power signal, so every time the he turns the car on the radar comes on and turns it off it turns off, it's pretty cool, he took it some place and had it done, can't even see any wires or anything!!

Driver side fuse panel. You can tap into a switched 12V source there and catch a ground too. It will turn the detector on and off with the ignition. I don't have the car here right now, but when I get home I will tell you EXACTLTY where and what color the wire is.

Hey, looking at the back of the fuse panel on the drivers side, the lower left open slot there is keyed to the ignition, and it'll deliver a full 12v load. I'm trying to get confirmation as to what it's used for and if it's connected to anything else because I'm thinking of using it for a remote power for my amp. Can anyone comment please? Ron?
PS, I think it was labeled something like J2 or whatever, you'll have to crawl into the drivers foot well to see what I'm talking about.

Try the #12 fuse. The #12 fuse controls the wipers, and is only hot when the car is turned on. Fan out the power wire for the detector and slide it in with the fuse into the fuse block. Connect the ground to the bolt where a black wire is connected and you are up and running. No splicing...
