Hardwire FM Modulator in 2003
Hey guys Im new here and did a search on this and couldnt find an answer for my model year (most are for 3rd gens). I just installed Sirius in my 2003 TL and the reception is terrible using the wireless FM modulator. My question is how difficult will it be to hardwire an FM modulator using the stock Bose stereo? I've read something about a mini input for the antenna because something may not be compatible, but I really dont know what that means.

ive had 2 different FM Modulators mounted in the TL. Its not hard at all. Depending on the Sirius unit you have you may actually be able to use a Blitzsafe adapter and plug it directly into the back of the HU

I have the Starmate Replay, and I had it installed by a garage... only problem is they hardwired the power but not the FM, I didn't realize this until later when I was able to get regular FM radio stations with my Sirius turned on (which shouldnt happen if I am correct becuase the relay should cut off all other FM signals?)... what would be the least complicated way to connect the sirius reciever to the HU Blitzsafe or hardwiring the FM mod?

Deffinatly go with the blitzsafe adapter. Simple install, sound quality is great. Do a search on how to install, its a breeze, I did it in about 20 min.
