Hard Steering???

Don't know if this is normal ,but i've been having a steering issue. For some reason it takes a lot of force to turn the steering wheel. My friend also has a tl, and his steering is light and smooth. Is it because my power steering fluid is low??? Compared both our fluid levels and they both seemed to match up.

the fluid level should be about halfway between the lines on the PS res

If the fluid is old- more than 60k miles- its ready for a flush
See DIY section its pretty easy to do

Check tire pressures
Check steering parts under the car for any broken boots or damage to parts

Check to see that the belt is still there.

Also check the belt to see if it is worn or burnt. When my cranshaft pulley went I smelt something burning, then my car made a terrible noise, and the dash lite you like a Christmas tree.

I've had the same problem for a long time, I checked PSI/Power Steering fluid and everything. Then I got mad so someone took a look at it turn out that the ball joint wasn't getting greased properly, they said it would need to be fixed soon but I didn't know how soon. So about a month after I was turning into my friends street and the joint ripped out of the socket because it was dry. I had the entire thing replaced for $400.00 now it drives very nice. Sort of pulls but I'll get balance/wheel alignment soon.

I'm about to have my upper control arms, ball joints, brake fluid flushed, and 4 wheel alignment done for $569.
