Had rotors turned

I had my Rotora slotteds turned today after 60,000 miles with EBC Greenstuff (love the combo and putting it back on) and one of them came back looking like this:

It's an ever so slight groove and is where the previous pads wore down leaving that top lip...is this going to cause a problem that this part wasn't resurfaced?

Looks good, but is that a crack by the stud hole?

The crack appears to be only in the paint/rust covering I scratched it away and can't see a crack. Concerning the groove it's maybe an eighth the depth as a penny is thick...wouldn't the new pads sit right back in the same groove as the old ones?

pad sizes may differ slightly and cause a noise or wear issue on the edge
I would sand/grind off the edge to eliminate it

back in the day: On basic brake jobs we would grind that edge off rotors just to prevent noise on cars that didnt get rotor service at time of pads
Shop should have done it, but probably first rotors of that type they surfaced
