H.I.D. Upgrade
Well guys im in the mood to mod. My latest mod (rear roof spoiler) will be going on in the a.m., yet im online looking for my next one. I have been looking into getting a set of 8000K H.I.D. bulbs but not sure what site has the best quality or the best product. Any help with these issues would be very much apprieciated thanks.
Well here are two examples:
hidworld.com has them for 119.99 plus shipping im guessing and advantagewholesaler.com has them for 165.00 plus shipping any other sites guys? And what brands should I be looking for?

"The following is probably one of the largest and most deceitful marketing ploys exploited on the internet today. So I will state, for the record: Osram-Sylvania's highest color temperature bulb is 5400K and Philips' highest color temperature bulb is 5800K (marketed at 6000K Ultinon). Nowhere on either of their corporate or consumer websites do they claim, endorse, or offer any HID bulb or kit that produces light over 6000K. I subscribe to both companies' online newsletters so in the nearly impossible event that they do make a 7000K or higher bulb, I will be one of the first ones in public to know about it and this page will be editted on that same day. But here is why Osram and Philips will never sell you a 7000, 8000 or 12000K bulb. Osram and Philips control the entire market on OEM bulbs, and they make enough money off selling OEM 4100K bulbs to ride it out indefinitely. So there is no reason whatsoever for either of them to nurture the trendy idea of high Kelvin blue/purple bulbs at the expense of their professional reputations."
you should read this link, lots of very good information - basically 6000+k is only done by cheep makers by putting a coating on the bulb to give off that light.

Why would u guys want to get Higher "K" hid wattage bulbs!? the Higher the "K" rating of the bulb... there is less LUMENS which is the actual brightness. If u just want a blue look then go for it. but dont expect say 5000k or 6000k bulbs to be brighter than the stock 4300k ones.

good web site. very true but never seen a hid with that film before. i guess 6000k and up might have them. but i had 6000k on my civic and loved it. 6000k and down for sure, the color is controlled by the amount of gas in the bulb.
