H.I.D Headlights
Need some help in selecting what type of color to get to replace my stock lights, on a 2001 tl. Due to one of them turning purple from the other one. I want them to be blue, and able to see at night.

5000k or 6000K. 5000K is a natural white and 6000k is extreme white with a tint of blue. And I recommend KAIXEN bulbs. They are extremely high quality.

stock is 4300
kaixen 5000 have more blue with good amount of white on the road-
5000 is considered 'natural noon-day sunlight" on the color temp scale
6000 have even more blue with less white- great for picking out road line markings and signs
For the average driver 5000 is a good choice- dont go any higher than 6000
Go to lowes hardware store- large wall pics of different color rated bulbs starting at 3000

4300K puts the maximum amount of useable light on the road. That's what I installed in my TL.
Going to higher Kelvin rated bulbs trades useable light for color.
Some forum members have switched back to 4300K after installing 6000K bulbs because they were disappointed with the loss in visibility at night. And some have reported that the impact was even more pronounced when driving in the rain at night.
Pick what works for you.
As I mentioned in the earlier threat, I'm very happy with my decision of picking the right HID kit for my van's headlights. It's worth every dollars when driving at night. I decided to go with 4300K instead of 5000K or 6000K (I really have no ideal at that time) just because most luxury cars picked 4300K, and I think there're a reason for them to choose that number.
4300K is more like "Antique white" color
5000K is more like "Pure white" color
6000K is more like "Cool white" color
