H.I.D fading?? PLEASE HELP!!!

my headlights at first give off the nice blue light of the HID system, but then seem to tone down to an almost normal headlight look. Is this the HID system, the ballast?? If so is there a way I can fix it? or charge it or something. I need my lights back

The bulbs could be going bad.

I dont know.. it does not seem as if the bulb is any less stronger or going to die, but it does not have that glowing effect anymore.. I am going to try and buy another bulb and see if it helps

Mine did the same, then turned pink, then.... poof!! gone.

Get new lights so you dont have to drive with pink ones.

Same scenario here, nice and crisp when turning them on but gets close to a pink-ish tint within 15 seconds and on the ground they give an almost regular light. I've been keeping an eye out for a good deal on the bulbs, but I dont know if I'll be able to install them myself.

Are your bulbs stock? Mine turn blue for a short time when they just turn on but look normal after a little while as well, but isn't that normal? Pink is when they begin to fade, but blue then white is normal right?

Or do you mean normal as in halogen bulb normal, and not HID normal?

Blue then to white is normal for my car as far as i know.

You need new HID D2R bulbs- 85 pair ebay
150 apiece dealer or
150 a pair for killer Kaixen 5 or 6ks from Excelerate

HID always looks blue for a few second when 1st time you turn it on.
But when the bulb get hotter, the light turn really white. (depend what color bulb you have).
Factory come with the car is 4300K.

Yes it is normal for them to blue when turned on then change to a whiter color.... it is not normal for them to turn pink.

If you see a noticeable difference in the color then they could be going bad.... If you see pink then they are really gonna go...

There are other companies that sell HID's besides ebay and dealer and excelerate.....
This is where I got my Kaixen 6000k and they were really great to deal with and they cost 120.....
