alright well...
i am driving home from class today in my 1990 Nissan 300ZX (manual 5 speed) and all the sudden i go to pass some dude and the RPMs started to increase by the thousand (i know that sounds dumb, but it went right from 2 to 3, no 2500 or anything ) it just jumps up in increments of a thousand it was/is jerky as all hell

My car only has 39,668 miles on it

the only idea that i have would be:

tranny?

spark plug? i read something about this with the low idle thread

air filter?

tune up?

i really really need your expert help here because it's driving me crazy and i don't really want to go to the dealer and get con-ed because they seem to have a way of doing that

also, i'm trying to sell my Z so i can get my 2003 TL-S
