is there any options on changing the 99-01 gauge cluster? maybe to an 02-03 or something else? price?

 

you can put the type-s gauges in, or you can get indaglo gauges. you dont need to replace the whole cluster

?? they used to be able to be bought from this site awhile back. a salvage yard if you can find the cluster in a car you can remove them from the dash. and they arent white, they are silver

 

it really wont work with my 4 speed '99 will it? I mean I know there will be an extra spot for the D5 on the Type S, and it will show VSA not TCS...are there any pics of people with '99s and the different guages?

Yes. Only 00-01 can swap with TLS gauge. Just remember your TCS light won't work. Other option you have is to buy the indiglo gauge. It just overlays current stock gauge so you don't need to swap anything.
