Post GTP vs. TL

I was wondering how bad our TLs would lose to the GTP 0-60 and even 0-80. I know the GTP will rape the TL from a rolling start but not sure about a complete stop.

According to the Car-Sstats.com, the 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP runs 0-60 in 6.8 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 15.1 seconds. So far the best times I have run in my modified 1999 TL is 0-60 in 6.9 and 1/4 in 15.3.

Hope this helps.......

what a coincidence! I met a white GTP this morning and such wide body really looks phat.
We both accelerate from 0-60km/h and I hit to 4500rpm. I must admit that GTP
has a quick acceleration too.
I was even surprised to saw a model on street called GTX??
with more aggressive look and more hp.
Isnt it really the wider, faster??

I belive the GTX that you are referring to is the RAM Air hood that is an aftermarket part for the GTP. Beware those can be pretty damn quick modded.

Also, that wider is better promotion that they have on the commercials...it is just a gimmick to hype up the GTP. The wheel base are the same.

Yes, that GTP has a RAM air hood and looks awfully aggressive. Well, sometimes i try not to mess up with such vehicle coz many muscle cars with Ram air hood comes with Super Charge.

I think you guys in Canada are the only ones with the GTX..The GTP's also have a similar hood with nostrils to where the ram-air would be taking in the air..I never heard of a GTX here..
